Ingredients
- 1 packet Asian Home Gourmet Indonesian Mee Goreng Spice Paste (50g)
- 400g (14 oz) fresh yellow noodles or cooked egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 200g (7 oz) chicken, shrimp, beef, or tofu, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- ½ cup bean sprouts
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
- 2 eggs (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wok or large frying pan.
- Cook the chicken, shrimp, beef, or tofu for 3–4 minutes until nearly done.
- Add the onion (and garlic, if using) and stir-fry for 1 minute.
- Add the Mee Goreng Spice Paste and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until fragrant.
- Add the noodles and toss until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Stir in the cabbage and bean sprouts and cook for 2–3 minutes.
- If using eggs, push the noodles to one side, scramble the eggs in the pan, then mix everything together.
- Serve hot.
